Fr. Bob felt that the Speak-up Session with the Bishop went very well.  Carole stated that the majority of the questions centered on the shortages of priests and the costs of a Catholic education.

The House of Charity is nearing its end.  The parish is still about 4% shy of its goal.  Fr. Bob continues to be more disappointed in the percent of participating parishioners rather than in the dollar amount.  To date, only 363 families have contributed.

Building Project has not been divided in two.  The first phase, the garage has been bided out ($30K) and will begin soon.  As for the second phase, the parish center, it has been put on hold.  There was not enough time tonight to discuss that, so it is to be placed on next month’s agenda.

The flyer to entice parishioners to get involved in a ministry was approved

New Business:

  1. Parish Outreach Evangelization Meeting-a diocesan wide project, “Catholics Retuning Home” is reaching out to bring back inactive Catholics to the Church
  2. Parish Mission- Fr. Bob mentioned that he tentatively scheduled a priest for our parish mission.  This same priest conducted a mission in Brigantine last Advent.  No further information was given.
