 Discussion of Committee/Group Reports:

Youth Ministry Pat stated that it was a good year with nice support.  They will be having 5 individuals graduate from their group this year.  And next year’s calendar of events is currently being compiled.

Children’s Religious Education noted that there was a program for seventh graders that met once a month for just less than 2 hours

Social Action Committee had no meeting this month, therefore, nothing to report.

 Liturgical Committee Ted reported that

bulletThe Art committee has been a bit overwhelmed and is very appreciative to assistance.
bulletThe sub B committee is in the process of putting together ideas for Advent and Christmas
bulletDuring the summer, Ted will end his year as president of the committee and Addie Blee will replace him.
bulletThe request was made to have an usher attend the Liturgical meetings.  Ed will try to accommodate this request.  Also much discussion was made regarding the people that stand in the back of church.

Building & Grounds Report Ray reported that the flowers were finally planted.  Next year, he hopes to have them in before Memorial Day.  Other than that, there is a boiler problem and nothing else really major.

Publicity & Community Events Committee:  Currently preparing for the Chicken Barbeque.  It was noted what a great job they did advertising for the “True Love Waits” program.  Also they are currently working on “Catholic School Home Coming” and an Audio public service announcement.

 Parish Outreach Committee

bulletAlthough it should have ended May 24, requests were made to continue meeting.  It is now in its eight week and has attracted 5 individuals.
bulletPlans are being made to rerun the “Catholics Returning Home” program around Christmas.
bullet4 minute teachings are still being presented at the masses with positive feedback
bulletThey are incorporating their Outreach program with the Hospitality committee’s once a month refreshments
bulletA door to door outreach may be conducted in September.

 Family Life Joanne reported that

bullet4 or 5 couplec attended the Pre Cana this spring.
bulletSo far, no one has signed up for the October 17 and 24 program.
bulletUnfortunately, their second team has quit.
bulletCome fall, they plan to regroup.  A suggestion was made to solicit a new team from those attending the monthly anniversary masses.
bulletIt was also noted that older couples are not as respected as the younger couples at the Pre Cana sessions.

Vocations Committee  had nothing to report
