Volunteers Wanted

Welcome to

SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE?

WHAT DOES IT DO?

It is a group of dedicated volunteers that reaches out to help those who are in need through the generosity of our church and other agencies such as Catholic Charities, Rescue Mission, Women’s Center, Family Services, etc.  SAC has a “Project” list of eighteen things that are worked on throughout the year such as Baby Shower, Plates for Christ, Loaves & Fishes, Holiday Food Baskets, Christmas Gifts, Blood Drive, Nursing Homes, Group Homes, Agency & Community Outreach, Crop Walk, Free Mail Delivery, Pro-Life, Transportation Committee and Parish Outreach.  All of the work to complete these  projects is accomplished by eleven members of the SAC, along with the leadership of Fr. Bob and Fr. Carlton.  It is through the generosity of our parishioners who donate a treasure of  items  and the SAC Auxiliary who volunteers their time and talents that help to  make all of the projects successful—working unselfishly  together in peace,  harmony, and love.

Any parishioner who wishes to become actively involved as a volunteer  with the Social Action Committee should contact Mary at 272-1906.
