About Us:
We are a new committee, having been formed in response to Our Holy Father’s call for a “new springtime of evangelization” for the new millennium.  Our Diocese, also in response to this call, instituted an Office of Evangelism and Adult Faith Formation a few years ago, naming Frank Blee as director.

What is evangelization?  To quote John Paul II on World Mission Sunday 2002, “To evangelize means to proclaim the love, mercy and forgiveness of God”.  It is, quite simply, to live out and declare the message of the Gospel as witnesses of Christ Jesus, our Lord. 

Our focus will be on seeking out and ministering to the unchurched, the inactive Catholic, and any and all who are hungry for the truth of our Lord and His Church.

Our first “project” under the banner of evangelization and adult education, is a ladies’ bible study entitled “Heart to Heart” which began on May 23, 2002 and will be meeting on a weekly basis throughout the year.  The response has been gratifying and we are seeing women bonding together and sharing their lives and faith with one another.  We hope that this study will be the beginning of a much broader ministry for women within our parish, possibly encompassing meals for those in time of need and older women mentoring younger ones in the ways of the Lord for our families and homes.

It is our intent to serve both the women and men of our parish and we hope to have a mens’ ministry up and running in the future.

Our Evangelization Committee is comprised of Frank Blee, Laura Eger , Bernie Garbowski and Mary Ann Learn.  Our first “formal” meeting will take place this Summer and we are looking for new members!!  Please join us!!
